What Is Life?

You’re born.
You learn to walk. You go to school. You grow up. Maybe you fall in love. Maybe you have children. You work. You laugh. You cry. You celebrate. You grieve. You grow older.
And one day… your journey comes to an end.
Life can be easy, but it can also take us down a complicated path.
Some are born into wealth and fame.
Some don’t even know where their next meal will come from.
Some are blessed with loving parents who make them feel safe and cherished.
Some are born with no one to hold them, guide them, or love them.
Some seem to have every opportunity handed to them.
Others spend their lives fighting battles they never chose.
And then there are those who appear to have everything—money, success, a beautiful home, the perfect family—yet they still feel empty inside.
Life isn’t the same for everyone.
We don’t all begin at the same starting line, and we don’t all walk the same road.
Sometimes life changes in a single moment. A phone call. A diagnosis. The loss of someone you love. An unexpected blessing. In an instant, everything you thought you knew can change.
Maybe that’s why kindness matters so much. We never truly know what another person has survived or what they carry behind their smile.
And then there’s the question that has crossed almost everyone’s mind…
Is there something after life?
The truth is, none of us knows for certain.
Maybe there is.
Maybe there isn’t.
But perhaps the greater question is not what happens after we die.
Perhaps it’s how we choose to live while we’re here.
Did we love?
Did we forgive?
Did we help someone who needed it?
Did we leave the world just a little kinder than we found it?
Life isn’t just about being born, growing old, and dying.
It’s about the moments in between.
The people we love.
The memories we create.
The strength we discover.
The hope we hold onto.
And maybe, just maybe, that’s what gives life its greatest meaning. Not knowing exactly what comes next—but choosing to make today matter.
