Courage to Overcome

What’s something you’ve done that your past self would be proud of?

If there’s one thing my past self would be proud of, it’s that I never gave up on myself.

I’ve kept going, even when life got hard. I’ve faced challenges, experienced heartbreak, questioned myself, and walked through seasons I never thought I’d overcome. But here I am, still standing, still learning, and still growing.

Now that I’m in my 50s, I’ve come to realize something beautiful: It’s never too late to become the person you’ve always wanted to be.

There is no age limit on growth, healing, happiness, or chasing your dreams. Just because life hasn’t always gone the way I imagined doesn’t mean my story is finished.

I’m still discovering who I am. I’m still learning to love myself, embrace my imperfections, and find joy in the little things.

Maybe my younger self thought I’d have everything figured out by now. But what she didn’t know was that life isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about finding the courage to keep going, even when the path looks different from what you planned.

And if I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be this:

“We made it through things we never thought we could. We may not be exactly where we imagined, but look how far we’ve come. And the best part? We’re not done becoming.”

I’m in my 50s, and I’m still a work in progress.

And you know what? I’m proud of that.

Because it’s never too late to create a life you love or become someone your past self would be proud of. 🤍

“To the girl I once was, thank you for being brave enough to keep going. To the woman I am today, I’m proud of everything we’ve overcome. And to the woman I’m becoming, I promise to never stop believing in us.”
