What’s a song that changed your life?
“Hermoso Cariño” by Vicente Fernández holds a special place in my heart because I dedicate it to my son. These words capture what he means to me:
“Precioso regalo, del cielo ha llegado, y que me ha colmado de dicha y amor.”
“A precious gift has arrived from heaven and filled me with joy and love.”
I always wanted to be a mother. My son was wanted and loved long before I held him in my arms. When he arrived, that dream became real, and I discovered a love I had never experienced before.
Motherhood hasn’t always been easy. There have been worries, tears, and moments when I wished I had all the answers. Even on the difficult days, I am thankful that I get to be his mother.
When I hear this song, I think of the little boy I held in my arms and the young man he is becoming. I hope he always knows how deeply he was wanted and how much he is loved. No matter how old he gets, he will always be my precious gift—my hermoso cariño.
